Mobile : The Next Big Thing Ads: 3 Great Camera Tricks
We’ve had a blast showing off our favorite Samsung Galaxy S® III and Samsung Galaxy Note™ II features in our Next Big Thing TV commercials. Now we want to make sure you can show off these features to your friends. First up, cool camera tricks on your Galaxy device.
1. Don't Miss a Moment with Burst Shot
Burst shot automatically takes 20 pictures rapidly, and then lets you pick the best one, so you’ll never miss that perfect jump or amazing goal.
HOW TO
Step 1: Tap the camera icon. You’ll see five icons stacked vertically in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Tap the middle icon—it looks like a rectangle within a rectangle.
Step 3: Select Burst Shot. The menu closes, and you can see the option for Best Shot Off/On. Best Shot will help you choose the best image from the 20 you are about to take.
Step 4: Tap to take a picture and you’ll hear the shutter.
Step 5: Select the picture you like best.
2. Use Share Shot to Connect with Other Devices
Share Shot camera mode uses Wi-Fi Direct™ multi-connect, which means you can share photos with multiple users simultaneously. Share Shot can connect with any other device that is Share Shot capable.
What is Wi-Fi Direct? Wi-Fi Direct is a way for your phone to establish a connection with another device without a true Wi-Fi® connection. In a nutshell, your phone is sending out a signal to pair with another phone. Once paired, you can wirelessly transfer files, like photos.
HOW TO
Step 1: Tap the camera icon. You’ll see five icons stacked vertically in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Tap the middle icon—it looks like a rectangle within a rectangle. A menu shows up.
Step 3: Scroll down within the menu and select Share Shot. You will now be prompted to turn on Wi-Fi Direct. Once this is on, scan for other devices. Basically, you are looking to see if your friends are nearby. If they also have a Galaxy S III, they should follow these same steps.
Step 4: When your friend’s device appears, select it. Now the magic happens. As long as you are near each other (within 200 yards), every picture you take will automatically be sent to their gallery, and every picture they take will be sent to yours. When you want to disconnect, just turn off your Wi-Fi Direct.
3. Get Everyone in the Picture with Panorama Mode
Panorama Mode lets you take very wide pictures so you never end up cutting off a friend in a group photo or missing any angle of an amazing view.
HOW TO
Step 1: Tap the camera icon. You’ll see five icons stacked vertically in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Tap the middle icon—it looks like a rectangle within a rectangle.
Step 3: Select Panorama. Tap the camera icon and start moving slowly in any direction. The camera will capture several images and automatically format them as one very wide image.
